Travel Diary – Green Park London

Back during my stay in London, I have visited a number of parks. I would like to talk about Green Park here. I visited Green Park with my friends on a Saturday noon time. London is a beautiful city with a good mix of green and concrete. Yes, amidst the city lies this graceful park called the Green Park and its truly a great place to visit. It lies between the Hyde Park and St.James’s park in London in the city of Westminster. You can sit and enjoy the calmness there.

Unlike other parks, this park contains only greenery! Yes lush green grass and trees everywhere! We visited during spring time and totally loved it. I found this little squirrel eagerly eating his food: There were so many of them, happily running here and there.

Me and my friends discovered these beautiful blossom trees. That was our first encounter with blossom trees and were totally surprised by the bunch of flowers:

The Park is so big…we can walk for the whole day and never get bored with it. We roamed the whole afternoon there, taking pictures, resting on the benches and never getting tired of the view. The weather was chilly but with the Sun. Since it was just the start of the spring, the trees were yet to become full with the leaves, still they provided a great view by the side of the path inside the parks.

How to get there:

Well, there is tube station near the park with the name ‘Green Park’. Its served well by the Jubilee line, Piccadilly line and Victoria line. Its not to be missed when you visit Piccadilly circus.

For anyone looking for a half day outing with less expenses, Green Park is a good option, you can plan a picnic with your family or friends there. Best times to visit are Spring and Summer. Ofcourse visiting during the winter will not show you the Greens ;), but you might see the snow if you are lucky :). Meet you in my next post!
